There has been more than one time during this past week when I have found myself filled with pride and support for our Olympic athletes. Canada is not a world super power, we don’t have a huge population compared to the rest of the world, but we have heart.
Each and everyone of us endures the cold winters and hot summers. We listen to, and accept the opinions of the rest of the world, and try to make the best out of what we have. We are a mix of cultures that work together to make Canada one of the most diverse countries in the world.
Each one of these medals represents a personal best from an athlete who trained in Canada and traveled to a foreign country to be our ambassador.
