2012ChampsThe 2010-2011 and the 2011-2012 season were good to me in that I was drafted to the championship team. Here is a picture of last years Sunday night Carp Old-Timers Champions. I’m second from the left in the front row. I serve on the executive for the league currently as the player rep. I play defense by the way in case someone is planning a game.

The web site for the league is http://www.wcoha.org.

== Running ==

IMG_2408Once a year I compete in the Canadian army run. My 2012 run was my first half and I did it in 2 hours and 27 minutes. (2.27.58.9). For Men 50-59 years old I was 485/553.

The results are in for the 2013 Army run. This year I did it in 2 hours and 29 minutes. (2.29.05.7). For Men 50-59 years old I was 218/243. Given that I spent my whole summer working instead of training, I’m good with that.

Well it’s one year later and I just finished the 2014 Canadian Army Run. My time this year  was a personal best at 2 hours and 19 minutes. (2:19:15.3) For Men 50-59 years old I was 198/355.

RoadBikeWork kinda got in the way of biking this year. Hopefully next year will be different.

I did get out on the road bike a couple of times, but the recumbent sat idle.

20130314-_MG_3083I passed my second degree test and will be training for the next three years for my third. Tae-kwon do is a great way to maintain flexibility and stay fit. It’s also a great community locally, with many fun events.

The black belt physical test is 5 X 50 pushups, 5 X 50 situps, 3 X 2 min skipping and a 10K run. Candidates are given 1 min for each set of pushups and situps and a 1 min break between sets.
