Here’s where things get crazy…

A few months ago I was talking to a friend about my daughter wanting to go to medical school and what it cost. He suggested half jokingly, “Why don’t you start a kick-starter project?” We joked about giving away rewards that involved future hip and knee replacements.

Last week I posted my idea to give all the proceeds from my science fiction books to help my daughter. Then I thought about kick-starter with a slightly modified reward system. It turns out that many authors get their start on kick-starter with publishing projects.

I decided to combine the two ideas and I now have a live kick-starter project that is all about selling books and funding a future surgeon.

Hey! Came here through Kickstarter. Just wanted to mention that you might want to take a look at IndieGoGo or GoFundMe, instead of KS. I’m not sure how familiar you are with the platform, but it’s all or nothing. If you don’t meet the funding goal on Kickstarter (which you have set to 600k) your project won’t fund, and you won’t see any of the money. IGG and GFM offer flexible funding, which means that even if the goal isn’t met, you will still get funded. Good luck out there, and cheers from Ottawa! Congratulations to your daughter!
