Who would have guessed that the Doobie Brothers were still around. Turns out that some of them are not, but the key players (no pun intended) are indeed alive and well. They just released a new album called “World Gone Crazy”. I wonder if they read my BLOG?
If you were a fan of the Doobie’s in the 70’s and 80’s you will love this new disc. I downloaded my copy from iTunes and it came with an electronic booklet and a video documentary.
There is only one track that was recorded with Willie Nelson, that doesn’t fit, the rest of the album is legacy Doobie Brothers. There’s a couple of live bonus tracks “Nobody and Black Water” that round out the mix.
I particularly liked “Law Dogs”, “New York Dream”,”Nobody”, “Young Man’s Game” and “World Gone Crazy”
The documentary covers the highlights of the life and times of the Doobies and brought back some great memories.
