Fluidware is latest in a string of ventures from the serial entrepreneur Eli Fathi. This time he has partnered with a dynamic duo (brothers) Aydin and Amin Mirzaee and Samuel Cormier. The company was founded in 2008 as Chide.it and bootstrapped from zero by the four founders.
Fluidware won the Bootstrap Awards in Ottawa (as Chide.it) in 2011 & 2012 and doubled in size over the last year. Fluidware has also managed to double it’s revenue every year which used to be the norm for a tech company but is no small feat in today’s post bubble environment. I visited their office in Ottawa’s east end and was impressed with the knowledge of the team leaders and the casual work place environment. There are a number of well funded start-ups in the Ottawa area that started at the same time with significant seed capital and are not even close to being in the black.
This is definitely a company to watch in 2013.
